"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences. " Gordon B. Hinckley, BYU, 2006

SMILE!

This is mine and Keri's favorite song right now. I looked for it on "Playlist" but no luck. Once it is there though, I will make it my background music. Enjoy!
And don't forget to SMILE!

Just Peachy

Yey! Last night Celeste and I canned peaches.
In just 6 hours we went from this...

and this...

to this...

and this...

Not perfect! Just peachy!

Stewart Falls

The leaves are starting to change up in the mountains...

so Mark and I decided to go for a hike up to Stewart Falls...

It was about 2 miles to get there but the view was worth it. What a beautiful waterfall!

Originally we had talked about going out to lunch and then maybe a movie. But I persuaded Mark to make the hike up the mountain. (You can go see a movie anytime in the winter. We only have a few more months of good weather if we're lucky.) I can say for sure now that Mark didn't regret the hike and neither did I!

September

I heard this song on the radio today coming home from work and just laughed. I had totally forgotten about this song. Gotta love the '70's effects on this video. Just wanted to share...

Guess I'll have to update my blog with some fall stuff soon when I have the time...
But for now just wanted to know...
Are you dancing in September?

Purple Belt

Carson has been working really hard and finally earned his purple belt!

Now he gets to move on to the weapons part of Karate. I'm not sure if I'm ready for that. But Carson is excited to learn and eventually start competing...

We are super proud of him!

We celebrated the big day by getting snow cones from the little red shack down the street from us. It is Carson's favorite place to get a treat during the summer!

Matt and Kasara Reader

On September 5th Kasara Cooper married Matt Reader at White Willow in Provo, UT. It was supposed to rain that whole day. But as the day got closer the weather forecast changed. Instead of a downpour they only had a few sprinkles right before the ceremony. (I think that someone was watching out for them.)

After the ceremony they had a reception in Tooele. It was a lot of fun to spend time with family and celebrate the couple's big day!
We will miss Kasara now that she is moving to Arizona!

Let the Games Begin!

It's week one of the football season and tonight is Boise State's biggest game!! The Broncos have never hosted a team in college football's Top 25. Tonight they get to play Oregon!
Boise State started out as a junior college. In 1996 they moved up. And in 1999 they played their 1st bowl game. Tonight they get to prove they can hang with the big guys!
The kids decided to wear their football jerseys to school to show their support for the team and to get pumped up for the game tonight! Go Boise State!!!
