"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences. " Gordon B. 3rd Time Is A Charm

Well, I finally did it!!!!!! A few days ago I was having a craving for some good cinnamon raisin bread. So I went searching for a great recipe. I found one I thought would work. But failed miserably. So I started experimenting. (Now, I know I am much better at baking cookies than bread but I just had that craving...)
After 3 attempts I got it!!!Here's what I learned from the whole process:
1. Use the right ingredients! I used a no name brand yeast and my bread didn't rise the first time.(It ended up in the garbage.)Your bread will not turn out unless you work with the right tools and ingredients.
2. Mix slowly! The second time I just dumped all the flour in as fast as I could. I was sick of spending so much time in the kitchen. You're supposed to add the flour slowly. Making bread requires patience and long suffering.
3. Watch what you're doing! I didn't pay attention to the bread cooking in the oven. So when the timer went off and I pulled it out of the oven it was all burnt on the top. Bread comes out the best when you keep your eye on it until the end.
(Not a bad recipe for life as well...)

This is the best looking bread I have ever seen. Is it the cook or the photograph? I sure hope I get to taste it. SOON!
