"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences. " Gordon B. Utah Lake

Mark and I took our little puddle jumper out onto Utah Lake today to make sure everything was in good working order for the season. The kids weren't too happy with us though. While some of the kids in the neighborhood got to skip school today Mark and I shipped ours off so we could go spend some alone time together. I know, I'm not a very good parent. But it was so much fun. I think Florida fried our brain a little...

This is the small sign you need to look for to get to the lake...

I had Mark make sure the boat was properly equipped...

What a view!!!

What a champ!!! Mark drove the boat while I lounged around....
My cute toes after the pedicure I gave myself last week...

All in all our little puddle jumper did pretty well. We did have a few hiccups though...
1. If we got too close to the outside borders of the lake we started to get eaten by mosquitos.
2. We almost ran out of gas. It was on "E" for 5 minutes before we got to the landing dock. Utah Lake is a pretty big lake. We had rode around for hours...
3. Mark blew a fuse while trying to load the boat back onto the trailer. It took about 30 minutes to fix. Luckily we didn't get any dirty looks because there was hardly anyone around...
